Casa Ausencio León is an Oaxacan, Tlacolulense company dedicated to
the production, packaging and distribution of mezcal.

Don Fortino León began in the year 1890 in the production of mezcal
for family consumption after a few years the quality of its product wins
recognition and demand in neighboring towns.
In 1929 Porfirio León Gopar, son of Don Fortino, founded the Casa Joyas
Small Oaxacan establishment dedicated to marketing
regional products with special emphasis on high quality mezcal.
